SW AHSN to Launch New Council to Support Members in South West
On 08 November, the SW AHSN will be holding its first Membership Council meeting at Exeter Racecourse. The Membership Council (the ‘Council’) has been created to enhance communication between the SW AHSN and its member organisations.
A nominated representative from each member organisation has been invited to attend the meetings to: discuss work programme experiences, inform SW AHSN strategy and wherever possible, combine and deliver on strategic priorities across the South West, optimising the resources, intelligence and budget available.
A representative from each of the Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) footprint areas has also be invited to join the Council, as although not directly members of the SW AHSN, given their oversight of all organisations, this will ensure involvement and alignment.
The Council face-to-face meetings will take place at a location in the South West twice a year and any additional meetings required will happen via Webinars or potentially sub-groups, according to interest.
Claire Higdon, Director of Business Development, SW AHSN said: “We are really excited for the first Council meeting in November. To date, there has been no forum like this to share key work programmes across Members and explore the opportunity to align strategies and to support collaborative working. The Council will give our membership and STP representatives the opportunity to do this.”
