Role: Award Manager – Healthcare (Ageing) Specialist
Salary: £31,368 plus pension
Contract: Fixed term November 2016 to July 2019

UnLtd Ventures supports social ventures that are looking to scale their business, and where applicable supply them with seed capital and help them raise investment. They aim to support these entrepreneurs to allow them to go mainstream by developing routes to market, offering one-to-one support and making influential network connections.

Alongside the South West Academic Health Science Network and the Centre for Ageing Better, UnLtd are now supporting the Design Council to deliver a major new programme to improve the lives of people in later life.

This role will build the cornerstone of Unltd’s work on this programme, engaging with multiple stakeholder groups, and working in the local area to identify some of the early stage social ventures that can address key issues. You will build strong relationships with your entrepreneurs and act as a critical friend and sounding board.

You will have some experience of working in and knowledge of the UK Healthcare system, in particular the challenges faced by and working with commissioners and care providers. You will be a strong communicator who has experience of coaching entrepreneurs, and be a good project manager. An academic qualification in business management is desirable and an in-depth knowledge of political, economic and legal issues relating to social entrepreneurship.
