Call for Abstracts for RCN Education Forum National Conference and Exhibition 2018
The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) is now inviting abstract submissions for their ‘Partners in Practice: Nurses Working Together Through Change, RCN Education Forum National Conference and Exhibition 2018′.
The conference will take place on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 March at Newcastle Civic Centre and will bring together around 300 delegates from across the UK who are interested in advancing nursing education and practice. It will provide a platform to share innovative work at national level and networking opportunities will enable individuals to generate ideas and discover best practice.
Who can submit
Anyone with an interest in nursing education and practice covering the academic and practice settings, who has something innovative to share on a national platform. RCN members and non-members, nurses and allied health professionals are encouraged to submit including those from the public and private sectors. The conference offers a friendly and supportive atmosphere so is ideal for a first time through to experienced presenters.

What’s on the conference agenda
With Brexit, the emergence of new roles and routes into nursing, changes to the student bursary in England, and developing draft standards for nursing education, change is at the forefront of the nursing professions agenda like never before. The theme of this year’s conference – working together through change – aims to demonstrate how challenge can be used to spur creativity and be a springboard to improving standards.
Glenn Turp, Regional Director for RCN Northern Region, will update on the work being carried out at regional level. There will be updates on the wider national picture and eminent keynote speakers will be discussing current challenges and changes in nursing education.
