Funding opportunity to improve patient care in anti-coagulation
The BMS/Pfizer Alliance is now inviting applications from healthcare organisations for grants to support improvements in patient care in anti-coagulation. This call for grant applications is focused on:
- Stroke prevention in Atrial Fibrillation (AF); and/or
- Management of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE)
The alliance is particularly interested in receiving proposals that:
- Accelerate the implementation of NICE CG180 and/or Quality Standard 93 (QS93) for AF patients to reduce their risk of stroke
- Support identification of patients with atrial fibrillation
- Improve anti-coagulation services and pathways with the aim of improving management of VTE patients
- Provide an educational legacy to support improved management of anti-coagulation beyond the time course of the project
- Include a plan for sustaining and upscaling the activity if successful
- Are innovative and involve effective use of resources
- Focus on the patient and involve them in the design, delivery and evaluation of the project.
NHS organisations may apply for funding up to a maximum value of £20,000 and the application period is open until 20 June 2018. Follow this link for more information and to download the application forms.
