Leadership in nursing education: facing challenges, creating opportunities

Overview

A health care educator interested in the future of nursing education and practice in the UK? This conference provides an unrivalled opportunity to learn latest developments, share good practice and network with colleagues. Students and those wishing to pursue a career in nursing education are also welcome to attend.

This national conference will take place on 12 March at the Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel. It attracts around 270 nurses and allied healthcare professionals so it’s an excellent platform to showcase and promote projects on a  national stage, and is a great professional development opportunity for presenters with attendance counting towards over 17.5 hours of CPD.

Abstracts

Calling all nurse educators: do you have an innovative project, cutting edge initiative or piece of contemporary research to share with the nursing community?

Submit an abstract for ‘Leadership in nursing education: facing challenges, creating opportunities‘ and share knowledge on latest developments within the academic and practice setting, reflect and build on your work and meet like-minded professionals shaping the future of nursing education and practice.

Abstract themes:

• Health and wellbeing
• Leadership in nursing education and professional development
• Learning, teaching and assessment
• Partnership working and collaboration
• Practice education
• The student experience

Abstracts should be no longer than 350 words and must clearly demonstrate an aspect of innovation in nursing education. Abstracts should be a concise summary of the main points from your presentation. The abstract should be jargon-free, indicate clear aims and objectives and demonstrate clearly the impact on nursing education and practice.

The call for abstracts will close at midnight on Sunday 16 September 2018.

The Scientific committee will meet on 25 October 2018 to review submissions. Submitters can expect to be notified via email with the outcome in the week commencing 5 November 2018. The final programme will be announced in the week commencing 12 November 2018.
