PERIPrem Getting it Right First Time Webinar

About this event
Dr Eleri Adams, Consultant Neonatologist at Oxford University, is the clinical lead for GIRFT neonatal team who has led the recent neonatal survey. Dr Adams will provide a local and national overview of the main themes that emerged from the process to support transformation change in neonatology. GIRFT have visited hospitals across England, meeting clinical teams and managers to review trust data for their specialties with the aim of highlighting what is working well and where improvements could be made, identifying and addressing unwarranted variations and improving treatment and care for children and babies.
This share and learn is open to anyone working in a perinatal role and especially those PERIPrem leads completing quality improvement projects under Mat Neo SIP optimisation workstream.
Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) is a national programme designed to improve the treatment and care of patients through in-depth review of services, benchmarking, and presenting a data-driven evidence base to support change. The programme undertakes clinically-led reviews of specialties, combining wide-ranging data analysis with the input and professional knowledge of senior clinicians to examine how things are currently being done and how they could be improved.
