PERIPrem Webinar: Prophylactic Hydrocortisone

PERIPrem is partnership project between South West Academic Health Science Network and West England Academic Health Science Network. PERIPrem is not just about implementing a care bundle. It is about forging a new way of working, where clinicians from obstetrics, midwifery and neonatal join together to drive forward and revolutionise care for pre term babies.

This webinar is part of a new series of facilitated conversations with regional experts, each designed for clinical teams across the West and South West of England implementing the bundle within their trust. Designed for maternal, neonatal and obstetric staff of NHS trusts in the West and South West of England who are engaged with the PERIPrem project being led by South West AHSN and West of England AHSN.

Dr Karen Luyt, Consultant in Neonatal Medicine and PERIPrem’s Strategic Clinical Lead, will be hosting this session to present the evidence around the use of prophylactic hydrocortisone for all babies born at or less than 28 weeks. This is in preparation for the implementation or optimisation of this intervention within your unit as part of the PERIPRem bundle.
