It is our regional innovation hub and home of the South West AHSN. Close to the M5, accessible by train and taxi, it hosts teams gathering across the region as they develop and innovate and run improvement projects. Many use it as the base to build their capabilities, through their own training or leadership programmes, or in partnership with our team at the South West AHSN.
Our space is purpose-designed to accommodate events, with a variety of options, spaces and configurations that guests can use, as well as desk hiring space. The interior design of our space is based on the idea of bees, working together in a hive, to achieve more than they could individually. The design integrates several natural elements throughout, featuring hexagonal honeycomb shapes, tree designs and natural logs.

Our event spaces at Vantage Point can be optimised for a wide range of events, conferences, functions, and meetings, and we offer a bespoke events services package, designed to meet a range of needs and requirements.
We also have a selection of bookable desks, and collaboration spaces, designed for use by partners from across the region.

The Amphitheatre is a stylish, modern events space, set-up in a lecture theatre-style formation – ideal for meetings with keynote speakers, panels discussions or Q&A sessions. The adjacent space is usually set up as breakout spaces, ideal for team building activities, but can be configured to your specific requirements. A private meeting room to the rear of the amphitheatre space is included in the cost of the booking and can accommodate up to 8 people around a circular table.

The Conference Rooms
Our conference rooms, on the opposite side of the office to the amphitheatre and café, sit in a quieter area, allowing for more privacy and quiet-working. There are two rooms, the larger of which has a solid wooden divider, allowing it to be divided into two separate spaces. Used as a whole, the TV screens can function as a main screen plus relay, or be used independently, when the divider is in place. The space can be tailored to your need, with chairs arranged in a cabaret style, theatre style, boardroom style, or even as an examination room.

The Innovation Space
The Innovation space, with its far-reaching views over the Devon countryside, is particularly suited for exploratory or brainstorming events. It can be arranged as simply as a circle of chairs with a whiteboard, or have tables added. A bright and airy space.

Our café area is open to all, whether booking the space for an event, or those who hire desks. It has two sections, with chairs situated around tables, as well as sofas and relaxed seating areas. The kitchen area has a hot water boiler, fridges, a freezer, a microwave, a toaster, a sandwich toaster, and a fresh grind coffee machine, which are available to be used by guests.
Linking with events in the amphitheatre and innovation space
With more and more businesses moving towards flexible and hybrid working, there may be times when you and your organisation need access to more space, desks in different locations, or collaborative working spaces, to bring colleagues together.
With collaborative working at the heart of our ethos, the South West AHSN has a selection of bookable desks, designed for use by partners from across the region.
With full access to facilities on-site, each desk comes complete with all the connection points you need to plug in a laptop and start work. We offer everything from one-off bookings of a single desk to regular bookings, or a group of desks in a cluster
The South West AHSN at Vantage Point has been designed with accessibility in mind:
There are 2 disabled parking bays, immediately outside the main entrance, and access is level throughout the property. We are situated on the second floor, and there are two lifts that travel between our reception on the ground floor, and our main offices. The space within the office features wide open spaces and is easy to access with a wheelchair.
There is a disabled-access toilet alongside the main toilet facilities.
Assistance dogs are welcome, and they can be made comfortable in conference room or desk areas.
The building is well lit, and benefits from glass windows on all sides, allowing plenty of natural light throughout. Where there are glass interior walls, these have translucent panels, allowing them to be distinguished by those who have sight impairments.
For events, we have connections with BSL interpreters – please let us know if you require one.

Situated just 15 minutes from the M5 junction 30, our modern and well-appointed office space is a great place to spend the day developing your innovation. Many use our space for meetings with clients, customers and suppliers, making it a great place to meet and network with members of local health and care providers. You may book every week, or one-off sessions – all we ask is that for each Thursday you wish to attend, you complete this form.
