Details
We offer an innovative digital solution to schools to teach pupils how to proactively manage their mental health and wellbeing.
Our programmes for teachers, parents and children help to prepare today’s children for tomorrow’s world by building resilient, balanced and happy minds at home, nursery and school.
The problem
Our approach removes the stigma of mental health by being a program designed to be taught to the whole school.
The program comprises of one short pre-prepared lesson per week which is facilitated by the class teachers who know the children best.
We also provide support to staff through our Continuing Professional Development (CPD)-Certified Staff Wellbeing program. This is included as part of our product, as it's critical that staff have support for their own wellbeing in order to be able to support pupils to the fullest.
There is also a Parent App for use at home by parents/carers to reinforce what is being taught in school. In addition, this also teaches parents tools/techniques to support their own wellbeing.
Evidence
The program is used in more than 800 educational settings in the UK, and is provided to schools in 13 different NHS commissioning areas on the basis of the impact data that has been gathered from participating schools.
This impact data has shown an average 43% reduction in the number of referrals to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) from schools running our program, as well as a 67% reduction in the number of children needing special educational needs and disabilities coordinator (SENDCO) support.
The data is gathered from staff at the outset of the program, during it, and at the end of the school year.
