How a design-led approach is helping to ‘Transform Ageing’

The Elder website has interviewed Charlotte Burrows, Design Council’s Social Innovation Programme Manager, about her experiences of working with people in later life to improve their experience of ageing.

Transform Ageing is a Big Lottery funded programme in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. It is led by the Design Council working in partnership with UnLtd, the SW AHSN and the Centre for Ageing Better.

Charlotte explains more about the project and how the design-led process is helping challenge stereotypes and gain a rich understanding of what really makes a difference for people. All of this insight is helping generate ‘innovation briefs’ for social entrepreneurs to respond to with their ideas and solutions.
