Launch of new South West business sees a focus on digital healthcare solutions to benefit patients and healthcare workers

Reactor15, a South West based web agency, have expanded to create a business aiming to meet the unique challenges specific to developing IT solutions for healthcare.

Technical Health, launched 25 August 2015, will focus exclusively on digital healthcare solutions within the NHS and private sector organisations. It will support and develop digital solutions in healthcare, with both IT and Clinical expertise working together.

By combining software development and emerging technologies, along with the expertise of medical academics and clinicians it will benefit patients and healthcare workers in both primary and secondary care.

As IT solutions become a more integral part of healthcare it is much more essential that clinical expertise needs to play a key role in facilitating and enabling the potential of this technology and although the company encompasses the same expert Reactor15 design and development team it will also have a Clinical team which will be led by Dr George Brighton, Chief Medical Officer & Founder, Technical Health Ltd.

Dr George Brighton said: ‘This is a really exciting opportunity to work with a group of very experienced developers who share a passion for medical technology. We believe this unique mix of skills will allow us to focus solely on digital health solutions and enable great benefits for patients and healthcare staff in our region.’

The South West Academic Health Science Network (SW AHSN) are excited about the launch of Technical Health and hope it, along with other technology companies, will benefit our members in their goal to improve health & social care in the region.

Alan McLeod Phd, Innovation Lead, SW AHSN said: ‘We are delighted to have been part of Technical Health’s journey so far, and excited by the enhanced support that the new company will be able to provide our members in the important and growing area of Apps and digital health.’
