Your Innovation Destination – new guide launched to help prospective innovators on their journey toward world-class health and care innovation
The South West Academic Health Science Network (South West AHSN) is delighted to present a new guide for stakeholders and prospective innovators which outlines the range of expertise we offer to innovative companies and individuals seeking strong partnerships with the NHS and care sector.
The guide, aimed at those actively looking for collaborations, outlines our role as a world-class leader in health and care innovation and highlights the ways in which we can help you to access opportunities for successful partnerships, world-class facilities and funding.
The South West AHSN, based in the heart of the region, brings together a new generation of world-class health and care innovations designed to transform lives and improve healthcare for people everywhere. We have developed a reputation as an internationally-recognised centre, and work in conjunction with a range of health, care and research institutions, fostering partnerships and connecting promising technologies.
The South West is increasingly recognised as a prime site for clinical trials, with access to patient cohorts for research and testing of innovations. Our complex population construct of coastal communities, isolated rural areas and urban centres creates significant challenges in delivering health and care services and improving population health, however, this also creates an opportunity for innovation which delivers positive health and care outcome for those in sparsely populated locations or areas of deprivation.
Will Lilley, Programme Director for the South West AHSN Innovation Exchange Programme said:
“The South West is an incredible environment for innovation and research, and we delight in using our close partnerships to develop innovative solutions for health and care transformation. We hope that this guide will help to inspire the next generation of innovators to develop solutions that have the power to change lives and improve health and care outcomes across the South West and beyond.”
We’re always looking for ambitious innovators to work to develop innovations designed to transform the lives of those in the South West region and beyond.
