The South West Care Home Awards: Nominate Now

The South West Care Home Awards: Nominate Now

The next South West Care Home Network event (covering Devon, Cornwall and Somerset) is fast-approaching on 14 March 2022.

This event aims to provide a platform for learning and sharing ideas for improving the range of services that care homes provide, bringing together care home managers, staff, leaders, CCGs, local authorities and experts from across the sector to look at improvements, examples of good practice and interventions that will support and develop care homes. Following these events, not only are more care homes now trained in recognising signs of deterioration those they care for using tools such as RESTORE2, but our attendees have also gained valuable connections and a sense of community.

At the South West AHSN, we recognise the pressures care teams are under and appreciate the time and commitment made to these network sessions. We value the time our care home colleagues spend to come together as a united voice to support each other, develop learning and celebrate their successes, especially under the current circumstances, and look forward to seeing nominations connected to great work across the care sector in the weeks to come, and at the event in March.

How to nominate

As part of the event, we will be celebrating care homes or care professions who have demonstrated outstanding practice in the face of what has been an incredibly challenging couple of years.

We invite nominations for the following categories which will be announced at the event, alongside a short celebratory video to accompany each winner:

  • Addressing Inequalities in Care Award – In recognition of a Care Home that has addressed inequalities

Anyone is able to nominate using our brief form here so if you know of a carer or care home that you think deserves recognition, now is your chance. We can also offer support for your nomination, so should you have any questions please email us at carehomes@swahsn.com.

Previous winners

Congratulations to the winners of our last round of awards, Sefton Hall, who won our Exceptional Leadership Award.

And to Chyvarhas Care Home who won the Exceptional Workforce Award.
